Top rivalries in cricket

1) Aamir Sohail and Venkatesh Prasad in the 1997 world cup

On or off the field, India and Pakistan were never the greatest of friends. The 1996 Indo-Pak quarter-final in Bangalore was one such instance when the old competition was turned off. Sohail reached his fifty at less than a run ball and celebrated with a searing cutting off Venkatesh Prasad, who was booed in certain sections despite being nearby. When the ball had sped away to the extra-cover wall, Sohail brazenly insulted Prasad, indicating the spot with the bat as though to say, "Go, grab that". Sohail attempted to re-create the cut-off the next ball, which was pitched on the off stump, but the outcome was unusual in this case. The center stump had gone on a walk, and that was the most appropriate answer.

2)Glenn Mcgreth and Sachin Tendulkar:

Tendulkar's rivalry with incredible leg-spinner and McGrath's comrade, Shane Warne, is well recognized, with the Indian holding a fair advantage. However, such was not the case when he was pitted against the skinny pacer McGrath. Tendulkar treated the Australian with attention, and probably a little too much esteem at times. McGrath put that to good use on a couple occasions. Tendulkar didn't have a very impressive record against McGrath, but whenever the two clashed on the field, it provided for high-quality cricket entertainment.

3)Harbhajan Singh vs Andrew Symonds:

The Second Test of India's 2007-08 summer tour of Australia was a controversial Test cricket match played over five days at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 2 to 6, 2008. Australia won the game by 122 runs with minutes remaining in the game.

Today is the sixth day.

The Australians moaned that Harbhajan thought Symonds a "monkey" during day three of the subsequent Test. Match official Mike Procter claims he is pleased that Harbhajan used the epithet and that he anticipated offending Symonds because of his race. Harbhajan rejected the accusation, and India said it would appeal the decision.

4)Wahab Riaz vs Shane Watson:

Wahab and Watson had a duel for the ages in the 2015 World Cup fourth at Adelaide Oval, with Watson weathering a searing period of short-pitched bowling to lead Australia to victory. Wahab's period was one of the highlights of the World Cup. That period is regarded as the strongest of the 2015 World Cup.

Wahab later stated in a public interview, "When I was batting, Watson simply came down on me and said, 'Are you having a bat?'" "And it was running through my mind," Wahab subsequently recounted.

"I informed him that despite having the entire bat, he couldn't make contact with the ball.
